Ms. Leese’s practice focuses on complex
civil litigation. She concentrates on the defense of general and
professional liability claims. She also represents employers and
insurers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
Ms. Leese has litigated cases in Maryland circuit courts, Maryland
district courts, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, and the
United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Leese worked at a law firm in Baltimore
specializing in civil litigation and federal criminal defense.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School
of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school,
she served as an Articles and Comments Editor on the University
of Miami Law Review and received numerous awards for her academic
achievements. In addition, Ms. Leese gained well-rounded legal
experience working for the Tax Division of the U.S. Department
of Justice, the office of general counsel of two large corporations,
a civil litigation law firm, and a securities litigation clinic.
As part of her work with the clinic, she participated in various
mock trial programs. Ms. Leese also worked for a law firm in Dublin,
Ireland before law school.
